Fields should be editable by Some of the groups

Hi Everyone,

Request:  We have some Text and Number fields. Those fields are in the Edit screen and user wanted those fields should be editable by only selected groups.

Please help me on this. How can i achieve this.

Jira doesn't support field level permissions. There are a couple work arounds

1. put them on a screen only presented in a transition that only the group can execute. 

2. You may be able to do it with scripting. I don't use scripting so I'm not sure. If you want to pursue that option search in the forum for using scripts to control access to fields

3. There may be a plug-in. That would probably be an extra cost item.
