BusinessStakeholder2.pngBusinessStakeholder.pngI have tried to add the business Stakeholder filed (custom field) to our default screen , but it doesnt show up .

When you go in to edit / configure the screen it's in the section , but will not show up on the issue screen to allow you to update it

Hi @Saqib Barlas

could you check if 'Business Stakeholder' field has context for Story or only for another work types used in your space? If you click on the arrow at the end of the line:

You can go directly to the field configuration (if you are the Jira Administrator).

Kind Regards,

Hi @Saqib Barlas

I would check three things in this order:

  • The new issue view hides empty custom fields. Click More fields on the issue and see if Business Stakeholder sits there. Once it has a value, it moves up.
  • The field context. Go to Settings > Issues > Custom fields, find Business Stakeholder, open its contexts, and confirm the context covers this project and this issue type. A field on the screen with no matching context stays invisible.
  • The field configuration used by the project. If the field is set to Hidden there, it will never render even though it is on the screen. Check Jira Settings > Work items > Issues > Fields > Field Schemes for your project.

Is this a company-managed or a team-managed project? That changes where the field lives.

Cheers, Martin
