Few tickets do not show up in active sprint

Pramod Narayan March 9, 2022

We have taken in a set of tickets for our active sprint however while filtering based on names or any other tags, few tickets are not showing up on the board to discuss as part of stand up calls. US is available in the Jira and the team member is working on it yet we do not see that on the main page of the project. What could be the reason and how to fix it?

Hi @Pramod Narayan and welcome to the community!

To confirm, you see these issues in the backlog, but you're not seeing them on the active sprint?

If the answer is yes...

  • It could be that you have a quick filter turned on in which those issues are not meeting the criteria of the quick filter.
  • Maybe those issues are assigned a status that is not mapped in the Board column settings.

If the answer is no to whether they appear in the backlog...

  • Check your board filter

This worked @Mark Segall , another quick question. We are currently in Sprint 38 and while using filter, I am seeing Sprint 38 appearing for 2 times. One could be a duplicate. How to fix this or avoid this in future?

It is possible that another project is using Sprint 38 as well.  Sprints are designed to be able to span multiple projects so if one team has already created it, you could find it appearing in your project as well.  I typically prepend my sprint name with the project key when I want them to be isolated to my project (e.g. XXX - Sprint 38).
