Feedback on Changes to Attachments and Confluence Links

Craig Early
August 4, 2026

This isn't a question post, this is feedback.  I spent 5 minutes trying to find a better place to submit feedback and this is closest I could get, so apologies if this isn't the right place.

In regards to the recent Jira update that moved Confluence page links into the Attachments section of Jira ticket, are y'all crazy?  I used to be able to easily find the actual attachments in the Jira tickets I interact with, but now those are lost in a sea of Confluence page links.  Our company tags Jira tickets in Confluence pages for recurring meetings, and often times people are just copying the last meeting page and updating info from there.  They rarely actually review and scrub out old Jira ticket links.  So now on a lot of Jira tickets where many teams are collaborating together, there are dozens and dozens of Confluence links overflowing in the Attachment sections.  For the love of god at least give us a button to filter out the Confluence links!

Hi @Craig Early and welcome to the Community!

I can very much understand what you're saying and how this change may impact your flow. I think I also understand your suggestion to hide Confluence content through a negative filter.

Out of honest interest and in an attempt to help with what's in my power as a fellow user: have you tried just filtering for documents or images using the positive filter options as described in the article from your original post?

That's been suggested, but then in many cases I'm still stuck sorting through a sea of Confluence links to find the actual documents like pdfs or spreadsheets attached to the ticket.  I honestly can't think of a good reason why Confluence page links should ever have been combined into the attachments section of the ticket.

This is an example of what I'm talking about.  I have pictures, pdfs, and slide decks attached to this Jira ticket, but the docs are lost in a sea of Confluence page links.  This really needs to be changed.Confluence as Attachments.png

I see what you mean, @Craig Early - I wasn't aware that Confluence pages are considered to be documents.

I noticed in the original announcement post that you shared that there is a feedback option there on the left hand side. I would encourage you to share this info through that link with Atlassian.

Thanks, I didn't notice that before.  Feedback submitted.
