Federating Jira - Can we federate cloud and server Jira's

We have a bunch of Jira servers.

We are considering to go to cloud.

The plan is to migrate slowly but federating Jira instances in the meantime.

Is it possible to connect jira cloud and server together?

But it specifically about backlog. My question is about application links in general.

You might check this addon. I don’t have any experience with it so cannot vouche for it. Unsure if it works Server - Cloud

Do you mean it is not possible to mix server and cloud without an add-on?
