Hi,
HR challenges me to implement in JIRA a setup to report extra time hours.
The idea is to have a central repository to have and register all extra hours performed.
They need a report to feed HR tools. (excel)
ExtraTime log should be filled in easily by users and approved by managers. Only approved extra time will be sent/view by HR.
I the current setup, we are using "Wor Log" but for normal hours.
The easy way can be to add in the current Jira tickets:
add 2 date fields (start and and extra work)
add 1 check field for approval.
But, and if one person needs to register 2 times on the same ticket?
I can't find a solution in the marketplace.
Can you share your experience?
Humberto
No more ideas?
this is just a 'Labels' custom field. You can add any number of values in this field.
Go to Jira settings -> Issues -> Custom Fields -> Add custom field.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Hey, many thanks for the suggestion. after some tests this is not an option for now.

Then you can try a free form multiple select text fields:
The only downside is that there is no validation of date formats here.

Hey, can you clarify?
How this will work if there is more then 2 values?
I can't see this field type, there is other name for the same ou do we need an app?

Instead of start and end date fields, you can keep a number field that will represent no. of hours. What do you think? Will it work for your usecase?

Good idea, but doesn't fit the needs, HR needs to know the hours exactly as they will have different values in terms of payment. An hour made at 19:00 is different from an hour made at 22:00 or even 03:00.
