Export Comments in Activity Tab

I need to export Comments from the activity tab to the excel spreadsheet. I know there is this Ticket created https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-8426, but I am not able to follow it correctly. It will be of great help if you can help me with this. Its very important for us to export the comments to the excel sheet, to track whats going on with the issue.

Unfortunately this feature is not available at this point. The only ways are:

1. Export to Word
2. RSS Feeds
3. Last Comment Custom Field
4. All Comments Custom Field
