I'm trying to connect to my organisation's JIRA board using the Excel Add in.
I've followed the instructions up to step 5 from Integrate Jira Cloud with MS Excel add-in | Jira and Jira Service Management | Atlassian Support
However, when I click Accept, I get no "Login Successful" message. Instead, I get a black screen with the text "State mismatch!", and nothing more.
Is this enough information that anyone might be able to help me identify where the blockage is occurring and how I might resolve it please?
Hello @Sarah Day
This Problem are Documented here Users report "State mismatch!" error when trying to export Jira cloud issues to MS Excel or Google sheets | Jira and Jira Service Management | Atlassian Support
The `State mismatch!` error indicates a connection failure during the authorization flow. This integration relies on WebSocket traffic, which strict company network controls sometimes block.
Close the error windows, wait 40 seconds, and retry. Test the flow in an incognito browser window with all extensions disabled. Resetting the session also helps; try clearing your browser cache, disconnecting and reconnecting the site within the Excel add-in settings, or revoking the app permissions under your Atlassian account's Connected apps page.
Check whether a colleague on the same network faces the same issue to isolate a local browser glitch from a wider network block. Persistent errors require Atlassian Support, so open a ticket with your Excel version, browser details, and network environment.

Arkadiusz - thank you for your response!
I was concurrently talking to a colleague from IT who helped me obtain the add in (through IT policy) and they suggested that I clear cookies and cache and restart so I tried this and came back to it working!
Thank you - now I need to figure out how to use it! :-)
