Everhour integration not working for one team member

Antonio Guglielmi November 26, 2025

We recently integrated everhour into our workflow and have successfully deployed it for all team members except one. The problem account is identical to all the others, but yet has the issue when attempting to setup the connection from everhour to Jira, he gets this message.

He is able to download the everhour extension and work that tool fine, so I believe this to be a Jira account issue to some extent.

Any thoughts as to what would cause this issue for a single user?

sounds super weird honestly especially if everyone else is working fine and his setup is literally the same. if the browser extension works but the jira connection doesn’t, it does kinda feel like a jira-side permission or account glitch. sometimes one tiny permission toggle or a leftover setting messes things up for just one user. maybe try re-adding him to the jira group/project or having him log out + back in fully. little things like that surprisingly fix stuff. hope it’s just a random jira quirk 🤷‍♂️✨

Thank you. I tried all these items.

However, in doing so, we discovered that the issue was that the one user didn't actually have the Jira extension for everhour installed. I didn't realize that the extension had to be reinstalled for each user and it wasn't a Jira site level addition.

Lesson learned!

This is now resolved.
