Hi all,

i'm trying to create my first epic for a project, and when clicking "create" > Issue type, it shows no option, and the predetermined option is Task.

Is there a way to include other options such as "epic?

Thank you!

@Guillermo Ortin Ramírez

Do you know what sort of a project you are using? You need to use a Software type project, but it sounds like you may be using a Work Management project.

Thanks,

Kian

Hello @Guillermo Ortin Ramírez

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Adding to Kian's answer...

If you see navigation options across the top of the screen like Summary, Board, List, etc. then that would be a Work Management project. If you see navigation option in a panel on the left that would be a Software project.

The other important question is what does it say at the bottom of the panel on the left? There should be text there that includes either "team-managed" or "company-managed".

You may have created a project from a project template that did not include the Epic issue type. That issue type can be added to your project, but the exact method to do that depends on the answers to the above questions.
