Error when linking issue from Crucible

Javier Ortiz Bultron November 25, 2018

When I try to create links from Crucible I get this error:

image001.pngUpgraded both JIRA and Crucible to the latest and recreated the application links without success.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

What versions of each application are you using?

I have not run across this specific error, but it might have to do with a system setting in Jira.  Please see Configuring JIRA application options.  In that page there is a setting called 'Use gzip compression'.    By default this is enabled in Jira as a means to compress jira pages and improve load times.   But it is possible to turn off.

Are you using any kind of proxy in front of Jira, such as Apache, nginx, IIS, or some other device/application?

There's no proxy.

JIRA version 7.12. 3

Fisheye version 4.6.1

Did you check to see if Jira is using the GZIP compression?  If this is disabled, try to enable it and see if you can recreate the application links starting from Jira.

Are either Jira or Fisheye/Crucible using SSL to host their respective websites?

If this still does not help, I'd be interested to see the logs from both applications when this happens.  For Jira you can see more information in the $JIRAHOME/log/atlassian-jira.log file.  Perhaps this will tell us more about this problem.
