Error about "No more switching between tools. Connect Confluence to your space"

No more switching between tools. Connect Confluence to your space to capture, organize, and share project knowledge right from Jira.

I cannot access to document that i originally wrote in my Jira.
Even though i clicked "Try confluence now", the result shows " you cannot add this app".

How to solve this problem??

Hola,

This isn’t really a Jira content issue; it’s a Confluence availability and integration issue on the Atlassian site.

That banner (“No more switching between tools. Connect Confluence to your space…”) shows up when Jira is trying to surface Confluence pages or use Confluence as the knowledge layer, but Confluence isn’t actually enabled or can’t be installed in the environment. The message you saw after clicking “Try Confluence now,” stating that you can’t add the app, which usually means Confluence isn’t provisioned on the same Atlassian site as Jira, or app installs are blocked at the admin level.

Atlassian’s setup docs for connecting Jira and Confluence are here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/connect-jira-cloud-and-confluence-cloud/.

If Confluence is already available but the install is being blocked, it’s worth checking the admin controls here: https://support.atlassian.com/admin/cloud/docs/manage-apps/.

In most cases, it comes down to one of three things:

  • Confluence isn’t actually added to the same site as Jira.
  • The org has disabled or restricted app installs.
  • Jira and Confluence are on separate Atlassian cloud sites that can’t be linked. Until that’s resolved, Jira will keep showing the prompt, but the Confluence integration won’t fully activate, which is why the original content you created in Jira can’t be accessed through that flow.

Thanks,

James
