Hey guys,
Could you please help me with it?
1. I have several epics
2. Each epic has a field (select only) with several options of an answer
3. Each answer has its own fixed coefficient users don't see
How to rank epics according to these coefficients?
F ex:
answer options:
1 - text 1, coeff 1
2 - text 2, coeff 2
3 - text 3, coeff 3
The answers are as follows:
Epic 1 — answer 3
Epic 2 — answer 1
Epic 3 — answer 2
I need to rank like these:
Epic 1 — coeff 3
Epic 2 — coeff 1
Epic 3 — coeff 2
Thanks!
Hello @Ksenia
What exactly do you mean by "rank" the epics? Are you talking about the built-in ranking that orders the issues when you look at them in a backlog?
Not exactly

answer options:
1 - text 1, coeff 1
2 - text 2, coeff 2
3 - text 3, coeff 3
The answers are as follows:
Epic 1 — answer 3
Epic 2 — answer 1
Epic 3 — answer 2
I need to rank like these:
Epic 1 — coeff 3
Epic 2 — coeff 1
Epic 3 — coeff 2

Forgive me if I state things you already know. I'm trying to ensure we share a mutual understanding of JIRA and what you are trying to do.
JIRA has a built in relative ranking feature. On an agile board backlog screen you can drag and drop issues to "rank" them, indicating the ones higher on the list are more important. When you have an agile board based on a filter that orders issues by Rank it is this relative ranking that is used.
If you were able to "rank" the issues based on your coefficient data, how would you expect that to impact the functionality in JIRA? Do you want the issues ordered in your backlog based on the coefficient instead of ordering based on JIRA's built-in Ranking feature?
