Epic on kanbanboard is shown as issue / card.

I have enabled the epics panel on my kanbanboard but when i create an epic it still shows as an issue / card. And i cannot select this epic in the epic link field when creating an issue. 

How is this possible / is there a solution? Any help would be great!

@Ruben, welcome to the Community. I'm unsure I am following you completely here. What do you mean by "enabled the epics panel"? As well, you state "I cannot select this epic..." do you mean the epic name is not in the list or something else? Could you provide some screenshots of what you are looking at and are you using a Classic project or Next-gen?

Hi Jack,

Thank you for the swift response! I finally figured it out! Epics wasnt enabled in the boards issue types. When i enabled it it worked as it is supposed to. However it is a bit troublesome that in this case i was able to create an epic in the first place. 

What i ment by enabling the epics panel is in refrence to what is written in this

And what i meant by the name is not in the list was indeed that the name was not in the list.
