Epic Name is blank in Next Gen project (I may have tried it all!)

Hello,

I see a lot of people on here with the same problem. We all need Epic Name to be filled out for reporting purposes. In Next Gen the Epic Name column comes in blank and uneditable.

I even attempted auto-populate the Epic Name field using Automation and I received an error that it is not an accessible column.

Please help! Thank you.

it doesn't exist in NG. Maybe consider a custom field.

Why do you need Epic Name specifically? Can't you just use the Summary from the Epic issue in your reports?

For some use cases, yes. However, for Dashboards and plugins like Tempo, no.

Good point. I recommend you open a support case with Atlassian to bring these use cases to their attention.
