Enter work log start time in Greenhopper?

Steve Lane July 17, 2011

Hi -- we're working to establish time entry in Jira using Greenhopper. Our users are eager to track the start and end times of their work. Jira proper allows one to add a start time but the corresponding field in GH only allows a date, or at least did as of a couple versions ago.

Am I missing something? Is there a straightforward way to handle this?

Thanks,

Steve Lane

Hi Steve,

On the current version of GreenHopper (5.6.x) you will see the JIRA Log Work dialog. The behaviour shuold be the same that your users are familiar with in JIRA.

For instance, if you use the keyboard shortcut '.' then type 'log work' you will see the JIRA Log Work dialog that corresponds to the selected issue. In that dialog you can enter the start date and time, and the actual time spent.

I hope that helps.

Thanks Steve.
