Enhanced board no longer displaying subtasks when no swimlanes are configured

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
Subtasks under a story are not longer displaying when viewing the sprint board. We don't have any swimlanes enabled. The enhanced board would display the subtasks grouped under the stories (similar to the old board) prior to 21/09/2023
Enhanced Board (note the subtasks come back in the data as you can see the count of tasks in the column is higher than the tasks displayed):
