Enable jira user filters icons

I want to enable the user filter (the icons ones) in order to avoid adding written quick filters and then save a lot of space. 
In my current configuration Jira only shows me the quick filters as in the 1st img attached

I would like to put also the round user icons before it (as I found in this screen online)

 

Can anyone help?

The user filters are a function of certain types of board.  To get them, you simply have to be using the right type of board.

I have 2 choices when I create a board:
Scrum board and Kanban board.

With both of them I don't see the icons for the users, should I enable it in someway?

No, you have to be creating the right type of board.  The screenshot you have is a shot of a team-managed company's board.
