Email invite to scrum team broken

Hi! I am trying to invite members to my (Free) scrum team. My project is set up, but when a team member tries to click the invite link and signs up for Jira, the webpage cycles through different loading pages for about 30 seconds and then it comes up with this error:

It looks like our database is taking a little longer than usual to sync up. Wait a few moments then try again.

I have tried creating an account with a different email address and adding people to that, or adding accounts with different email addresses, but it has not been effective. Does know how to add people? The service does not seem down but members cannot join the team

If I look at team member section, the members are chosen as "Invited" but not active.

Edit: This problem is now fixed for me. I just waited a day and it was fixed
