Hello there!
I'm having some issues with my Jira board which has 4 columns, namely To do, In progress, Not happening, and Done. Whenever I close a sprint, the tickets that are marked as Done are moved to the new sprint. I have recently discovered that this is because my Done column was not on the right side, so I moved it to the last position. However, the problem still persists.
Currently, I have Done tickets from my last sprint on my new sprint, which are marked as Done and it looks like they belong to both sprints. We've been using this Jira board for almost three months now and this issue only started happening when I added a column called 'Not happening' in the last sprint.
As a solution, I tried to remove the Not happening column, but the issue is still there. I'm not sure what to do next, so I'm seeking some advice. Can someone please guide me on the steps I should take to fix this issue?

An issue needs to retain all the sprints it has been in, including the current one, otherwise all the reporting fails.
I don't think you've done anything intrinsically wrong here. But because of the "not happening" column being the "done" column when you closed the last sprint, you've now got data on the issues that is breaking stuff for you.
Moving the "not happening" column back before "done" has fixed the underlying problem so that it won't happen again. Now your "done" is set correctly again,, your next sprint close will work fine.
However, that's just the technical answer. I'd also want to look at the "not happening".
By the name, I assume it means "no more work to do". Scrum has a binary "done" and "not done", but "done" is not quite the right word in English - it actually means "this team needs not to do anything more with this issue"
So, your "not happening" fits that definition, so you could add it back again, use it as intended, but map it into the last column on the board, along with done!
Nic! Thanks for the reply, I'll wait until the end of the sprint and I hope everything is fixed.
Related with the Not Happening column, we work on a VERY changing enviroment, so we have been making decisions every day or every two days, that's why sometimes we plan to do an activity and then we decided to move in a different way. We want to log all of these tickets to have the traking.
Thanks again!

This didn't help me, Done column is the last one and yet, the tickets are in both sprints. Need help!

@Rick Collins moving "Done" tickets from the current sprint to the top of backlog resolved this issue for me
