Done items appearing on active sprint board even though they are not attached to the new sprint

I completed a sprint, active tickets were moved to the new sprint correctly. The new sprint was 'started'.

When I look at the Backlog list, only the active tickets appear against the new sprint.

When I look at the active sprint board, All of the Done items from the previous (closed) sprint are still displaying.

Sprint reports show the tickets are allocated to the correct sprints.

How can I get the done items out of my active sprint board?  This has only started happening this week.

Suddenly they have moved out of the active sprint board - took a couple of hours to disappear automatically.....

What status is in your farthest right column?  Jira will only give you credit for any work items that made it to that farthest right column.  If your "Done" status is NOT your farthest right column, all of that work is going to travel to the next sprint.

Someone probably updated the status of that travelled work and that's probably why it disappeared.  You can confirm by looking at the work item activity and I'm hoping I'm right.

Thanks Alex, but that was not the issue in this case.  Think it was some refresh issue maybe..?   Noone had changed the status.  My boards eventually 'refreshed' and the done items were correctly removed.  This doesn't usually happen, they usually refresh straight away.
