Done Stories Moving to next Sprint following sprint close

Hello, when closing a sprint it asked if I want the incomplete stories to go the backlog or next sprint.  After closing the done stories were added to the next sprint cluttering the story board.  Is there a way to have the stories stay in a done state and move with the closed sprint?  Thank you,

Hi John - Stories are only considered to be done if they are in the Final column of the board - regardless of the status.

Where does your "Done" status reside within the scrum board? When completing a sprint only those issues that are in the right-most column are consider truly done. Otherwise they will be moved to backlog/next sprint.
