Hi @jnh784

Welcome to the community
Waterfall projects and predictive projects are typically more compatible with each other, as both approaches are focused on detailed planning and adhering to a specific project plan. In contrast, Scrum projects are designed to be more flexible and adaptable to change, which can make them more challenging to implement using a strict waterfall methodology.

As for Jira, it is a versatile project management tool that can be used for a wide range of projects, including agile and waterfall projects. Jira's flexibility allows teams to tailor it to their specific project needs, whether they are using a traditional waterfall approach or a more iterative agile methodology like Scrum

Hi @jnh784 welcome to the Atlassian community.

Please be informed Jira software, a project management tool is well-suited for agile projects, as it allows teams to break down large projects into smaller, more manageable tasks. This makes it easy for teams to track their progress and make adjustments as needed.

Hi @jnh784 ,

Welcome to the Community! I personally believe that Agile projects are more predictable when teams had enough time to have worked together and to have a stable velocity. Regarding the use of Jira, Jira can work well with all methodologies (Agile, Waterfall. or hybrid), although I see better fit with Agile projects. I hope it helps!
