Does Jira support effort-driven scheduling (like Microsoft Project)?

Hi,

I am new to Jira Software, and I was wondering if any version of Jira supports a few functionalities that Microsoft Project supports.

1) Does any version of Jira support automated start/end date assignment based on the estimated duration of a task?

2) Does any version of Jira support effort-driven scheduling like Microsoft Project? To be more precise, in Microsoft Project, resource-driven scheduling is when Project takes the entered task duration and assigns it to each resource. If one resource is unavailable at some point before the task is complete, the task's end date will be delayed until that resource is available and can complete his/her remaining work. If that doesn't make sense, here's a great example that might make more sense: Resource-Driven Scheduling in Microsoft Project | Systematix Training.

Any guidance you might have is greatly appreciated!

Kind regards,

Margaret
