Does 'Jira Cloud for Slack (Official)' sync attachments from Slack to the Jira Thread? If not, is the any automated workaround?
Short answer: no, the official Jira Cloud for Slack integration doesn't sync file attachments from Slack into Jira issues.
When you create or comment on a Jira issue from Slack, only the text content gets carried over — any images, PDFs, or other files attached in the Slack message are left behind.
Thanks for the clarification! That's good to know. It would be really useful if future updates added support for syncing attachments as well.

The official app only handles the notification/comment-mirroring basics, attachments aren't part of that. Disclosure: I work on Threadmaker, one of the paid options in this space. It syncs attachments both directions, including images added later via edit, along with the comment text itself, so a screenshot dropped in Slack ends up on the issue and attachments added in Jira show up in the thread too. If attachments are the main blocker for you, happy to point you to docs or answer specifics.
