Does Gitlab Integration work with Jira Software (Cloud) Free?

jonobrien May 26, 2023

Hi,

We have Jira Software (Cloud) free on a atlassian.net domain. I'm wanting to integrate with our gitlab projects but when I try and link the gitlab namespace it fails with the error "Failed to link namespace. Please try again."

Is this because we're using a free version of Jira Software?

If not, can anyone provide any suggestions of what might be causing the problem please?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Jon

@jonobrien We're experiencing the same issue on a paid plan. I don't think this is caused by the Issue linked by @Brant Schroeder, as the error returned by the GitLab API is a different one (at least in our case):

XHRPOST https://gitlab.com/api/v4/integrations/jira_connect/subscriptions
[HTTP/2 403 Forbidden 554ms]

For reference: I have the "Owner" role in that group, so there's something weird going on here.

@[deleted] that's the same error I'm getting as well:

xhr.js:210 POST https://gitlab.com/api/v4/integrations/jira_connect/subscriptions 403

@jonobrien The plan does not matter.  You should be able to use it with any plan.  You might be suffering from this know bug https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/378705

Thanks @Brant Schroeder - it's not quite the same issue as that BUG - I am getting a 403 error not 404 as in the BUG.

That BUG is closed now, so do you have any idea when the fix will be released?
