Do notification schemes affect the "inline" notifications in Cloud?

In cloud, there's a bell icon in the left navbar that, when clicked, will show a list of notifications (i.e. ticket assigned, someone commented.)

Are these notifications configured via the existing notification schemes, or do the schemes only deal with email notifications? We'd really like to have a minimal number of emails sent, but still retain the inline notifications for all events.

no, notification schemes do not affect  the inline notifications (one on global sidebar with bell)

notification scheme send email alerts for issue events (created, updated), whereas the inline notifications are

the notification with bell icon are when your team starts working on issues. atlassian team is a new feature wherenin you can create teams. to do that you can go to https://<xyz.atlassian.net>/people/search (where xyz.atlassian.net will be unique to your cloud instance) and from there you can create a team. once the team start working on the issue, you will see notifications in the global sidebar.

whereas notification scheme are just for email alerts for issue events.

Thanks. I'm actually seeing notifications in the sidebar even though there are no teams defined. That's fine; I just wanted to make sure that changing the notification schemes for email wouldn't result in losing any of the sidebar notifications.
