Displaying Epic, Story and Subtasks on a KanBan Board

I'm trying to view my KanBan board by Epics and then displaying the Stories and any associated Sub tasks beneath the stories.  

I have the Group By Epic and see my stories.  But I can't get the subtasks to display.

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

What kind of Space does this concern? In the navigation panel on the left click the ... button next to the Space name. Tell us what the last TWO lines in the pop-up say.

If it is a Team-managed Software space you cannot view Subtask items on the board except when you Group by Subtasks.

When you Group By Epic you will see a swimlane for each Epic with cards for the child Stories in the swimlane. It is not possible to also see the Subtasks. The Stories will show an organization chart symbol if Subtasks are present. You will have to click on that Story card to open a view of the Story to see the child Subtasks.
