Display timeline color legend

Is there any way to display a legend of color and meaning in the timeline view?

I did check out that link, but my issue pertains to the 'Timeline' view. The top right 'View Settings' do not let me associate colors to names.

To expand on the issue - when I choose a different color for an epic issue (normally purple) on the timeline, I would like to have an overview visible of what the different colored epics mean. I am thinking of something like a color map or legend.

Expanding the 'i' on the bottom right next to 'Full Screen' does show some general info, but nothing specific about coloring schemes.
