Hello
From time to time, I receive email saying
"Hi, admin 👋 I'd like to use Jira Product Discovery to collaborate with my team."
I have this as well for "Jira Customer Service" and even one customer send a requet for "Jira Service management".
How to disable to ability to request access ? None of this is compatible with our access management process so I don't want pople to thing they can do it
I am the only one with the issue ?
How did you solve it ?
First, you need to be an org admin. Then go to Apps -> App access settings -> User invites. From there, you choose Don't allow invites.
Hello @Nikola Perisic
Those setting for disabling User Invites apply only to the Atlassian Apps that are already available in the Organization/Site.
@Corinne Guibert can you confirm these messages are about app that are not already part of your Cloud environment?

Hello @Trudy Claspill
We are using Jira Service Management but nobody should be allowed to make direct request.
Product Discovery seems to be some Atlassian default product. Nobody is using it and I don't know who asked for it. It's free so I never looked deeply into it but if I can uninstall/disable it, it would be nice

Hello @Corinne Guibert
Jira Product Discovery seems to be an app that is automatically activated with some other app subscriptions.
It appears that you can deactivate it by navigating to https://admin.atlassian.com/billing . Then select Subscriptions. Find the app in that list (there may be multiple pages to the list). Click the Manage button. On the new screen you should find a Change Plan button and an ellipses button. The ellipses button should give you an option to Deactivate the app.
However that will not block people from requesting the app. Atlassian includes product advertising within their apps which may suggest the app to your users and they may click that suggestion and request the app again.

Hello @Nikola Perisic
I did what you said about setting the paramter to "Don't allow invites" but I keep getting them. I'm really concern about getting request from people that are not part of our organization. I guess they are using the JSM access but they should never be allowed to do request for anything else
I want to the billing part as suggesteg by @Trudy Claspill and I just discovered that we 8 people were on the app and that billing will be done. I checked the users, they are random user from the company. The App is even not used. I'm afraid someone blindly accepted the invitation request so I really need a way to stop these invitation
What would you suggest ?

Another way that users might be gaining access to apps that are available in your site (regardless of how the app became available on your site) is through the Approved Domains settings in Apps > App access settings.
If you go there you will see at least an entry for Any domain. Look at the Applies to column. Does it say a non-zero number of apps? If so, that means that users from any non-public domain are being set up to automatically receive access to that number of apps under your Organization, or the requests are being allowed but pending Admin Approval.
Click the Edit button to reveal the deails
Change the Role setting to None for every app listed if you don't want to allow automatic access requests or access grants.
Check any other domains in the list for the same thing.
To remove app access for users who have already gotten it you will need to go to the individual users' accounts (through Directory > Users) an on the Apps tab remove user roles allocated for apps you don't want to allow, like Product Discovery.
