When I go to add a Design link against a Jira ticket, it displays asking for a Lucid link, and when adding a Figma link (as previous) it then rejects it saying it is not a valid Lucid link. Please advise as it is blocking our process.
Hi Matt,
This is a known conflict that happens when the Lucidchart/Lucidspark app is installed in your Jira instance. It essentially "hijacks" the standard Design field, forcing it to look for Lucid links only.
Since this is blocking your workflow, here are the three ways to fix it:
Check for App Conflicts (The Root Cause):
Go to Project Settings > Apps (or Manage Apps as a Site Admin).
Look for an app called "Lucid for Jira" or similar.
If your team primarily uses Figma, you may need to disable or reconfigure the Lucid app. Once disabled, the Design field should revert to the standard Atlassian version that accepts Figma, Adobe XD, and Canva links.
The "Add" Button Workaround:
Instead of clicking the link icon in the "Designs" section on the right, look at the top of the ticket (next to Attach, Create Subtask).
Click the "Add" button and select "Design" from the dropdown.
Sometimes this triggers the native Jira picker, which allows you to choose Figma even if the sidebar is stuck on Lucid.
Verify Issue Layout:
Click the three dots (...) at the top right of the ticket and select Configure.
Check if there are two different "Design" fields listed. The Lucid app often adds its own section. Move the standard "Designs" section back to the top and hide the Lucid one.
Quick Fix: If you need to link Figma right now and can't wait for an admin, just paste the Figma URL directly into the Description or as a Comment. Jira will still create a "Smart Link" with a preview, even if the dedicated Design field is acting up.
Let us know if disabling the Lucid app brings back your standard Figma input!
