Ran into an odd issue in Jira that I cannot seem to root cause on my own. We use Epic, Story, Task, Bug, and Improvement tickets in Jira. All using the same configuration settings within the project.
With Epic and Improvement tickets, we are unable to save changes in the description field upon ticket creation.
The field saves, you see the info in the description field, but when the ticket is refreshed the info is gone. It can be edited and saved AFTER the initial ticket creation which we are using as a workaround right now but is obviously not ideal.
Anyone else run into this or have a solution? I checked into the global rules and automation settings and can't find anything that would induce this behavior.
Hello @Elliott Koch
Welcome to the Atlassian community!
Have you also examined the Workflows associated with those issues types in their respective projects, to see if the Create Transition is clearing the field?
