We deleted an Epic on purpose. We believed that it would delete the linked issues under the Epic. We are now trying to figure out which issues to delete. We have a subset of issues based on filtering, but without being able to associate the issues back to the Epic we have a lot of analysis work ahead of us to figure out which issues to delete. Any suggestions?
Deleting an Epic would not delete the linked issue. I've tested that and I can confirm that it wouldn't delete the linked issue. Have a look at here:
Understood. The issue is we have other Epics that are live, with many stories under the same project that are not associated with Epics (knowing this is bad practice). We are trying to figure out if there is any way to associate back to the deleted Epic so we can delete the unneeded stories that were part of the deleted Epic. We don't want to delete all the stories with no linked Epic.
I appreciate the help, just trying to avoid opening every story and doing analysis. This is a don't put your hand on a hot stove moment for us.
