Defect sutask

Hi ,

I have created defect subtask for my stories but  i am not able to see them as separate enitity . Is there any way apart for making board to be displayed as stories . Can we write some query in Quick filter

Sub-tasks are very much a part of their parent.

You can see them on boards, as part of the parent.  You won't see them in the backlog (because backlogs are for planning at a story level).  But they won't appear on a board "as stories"  because they're not stories, they're fragments of stories.
