Someone requested to install Deep Clone in our Jira, and in the app request page I can see that "Cost" said "Paid" but the only option Jira is giving me to install it is "Try For Free".
If I install it that way, would I be paying the subscription after the trial month, or the licence will kick in?
Correct, once the trial period ends it will be part of the subscription that you are currently paying. You should also see next to the Install button the estimated cost that will be added to the subscription.
