Date format error message at ticket creation if user hasn't english as language?

Hello,

I have a HTML/Javascript order page. Users fill out the required fields and press a button to generate a ticket in Jira. Now if someone has another language selected than english, they will get an error message for the date fields: "customfield_xx invalid date format ...". Is there a trick to allow every date format or to automatically convert the date to the right format?
