Hi All!

I need some assistance with new measure

I want to calculate the time (hours) between moving to "To Do" date and resolution date

I created custom filed that save the time the ticket moved to to do

and i added him to the imported data

But for some reason when i enter the "Datediffhours" formula i cant fine him

Is there a smarter way to measure this time period?

Thanks!

Roy

Hi @roy_as  -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Here are some questions to help the community offer you ideas:

  1. Are you using a Company-Managed (classic) or Team-Managed (next-gen) project?
  2. Do you need this information persisted or just need to review/report on it?
  3. If you need to persist the information, how are you calculating that field: JQL or scripting add-on, automation rule, etc.?

If you are using a Company-Managed project, and just need to report on the information, you may use the built in Control Chart report to do this.  Please see this article for more information: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/view-and-understand-the-control-chart/

Best regards,

Bill

Hi Roy,

This video explains how you can use datediff function in detail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2ary5YG-7w&t=3s

It's based on status transition triggers.
