Database switch?

Do we need to perform a database switch for JIRA OnDemand once the trial period ends?

Or documentation topic (http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA044/JIRA+101) only refers to own-hosted JIRA solution?

If you elect to continue using OnDemand once the trial period is over, you don't need to do any kind of switch. You just keep using your instance as you did during your trial.
