Data from excel --> create Jira issue with said data --> jira pings back created issue key to excel

I need a button in a master excel spreadsheet that will create a Jira issue with data from an excel row. After the issue is created, Jira will update the created issue key in the said row. Also, can Jira update the spreadsheet with said issue status as well?

I believe it should be possible. Did some searching, but no definitive answers. Where do I start?

Natively, this option is not available on JIRA, however, you can achieve some similar functionalities by using some add-ons.

Can you please specify to us if you are using JIRA Cloud or Server?

Here are some options:

- Excel Connector for JIRA (Cloud and Server)

- Excel Add-in for JIRA (Cloud and Server)

- JExcel Lite (Server)

- Excel-like Issue Editor for Jira (Cloud and Server)
