Getting this message on a dashboard that was working fine until the filter was updated.

"The filter configured for this gadget could not be retrieved. Please verify it is still valid on the issue navigator."

The filter functions properly, and it is shared with the organization.
I tried reconfiguring the gadget and re-entering the filter & settings but still getting the same result. If you click on the issue navigator, it brings you tot the filter & it is functioning.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

Hi @Jennifer Jenkins -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

It appears you have checked the common causes of that symptom:

  • saved filter has been deleted
  • saved filter is invalid
  • saved filter has changed permissions for view
  • dashboard has changed permissions for view

Next thing to check is what type of gadget this is: built-in, purchased from the marketplace, or custom built by your organization.  If it is custom or from the market place, perhaps check with the vendor / author to learn if this is a known problem.

Another thing to try: create a new dashboard, add the same gadget, and use the same filter to observe what happens.

Kind regards,
Bill
