I'm trying to figure out a method to create customer quotes from Jira. I've tried a few things (Table Grid and a few others) but the issue is that I can't find a way to get the information into a custom PDF template (TG for example doesn't export). It seems that most of the PDF creators can't pick up the embedded apps like table grid.
Ideally I'd have a pick list of items with their cost and sell, and I'd use a spreadsheet app to create the quote, then present it on a nice template.
so i guess having the quote be an attachment isn't an acceptable solution? It sounds like you want to enter the data into fields and then have that generate a quote in table format. You don't want your customers to view the quote (table) from within Jira I expect, correct? What about simply exporting to CSV the fields that make up the quote?
I need to better understand your use case before I could provide a more complete answer.

We are using Jira Cloud as a PM, CRM system (moving from MSCRM). MS CRM has the ability to create quotes (it is a pretty powerful feature using SSRS). I know we can't (as of now) get something that nice in Jira, but ideally I'd like to be able to create a quote where the user can pick parts, add quantities. It subtotals and (if required) adds tax. Then we could export that to a formatted PDF.
