Custom priority icons not displayed in subscription email

Community Leaders are connectors, ambassadors, and mentors. On the online community, they serve as thought leaders, product experts, and moderators.
We have loaded custom Priority icons into our JIRA Cloud instance. As per the instructions, the icons are attachments to a story, and the configuration references the URLs to those attachments.
When we include Priority in the columns for a saved filter and subscribe to that filter, the Priority icons don't display in the email that is the result of the subscription. Does anybody know why that is?
