Custom fields transfer board to board?

Is there a way to create a custom field that can be shared across multiple boards? I'm often moving tickets from one board to another and want to maintain the fields from the previous board. How do I do this?

Hi Jana,

You can do that if the project is a Classic Software project. But not with Next-gen projects.
