Hi,
I have a custom field that appears in the issue creation screen, but drops out of the issue view/edit screen. When you open an already-created issue, you can see the custom field during the time the issue is loading (notice the "CapEx..." field in the first screen capture).
However, once the issue finishes loading, the custom field immediately disappears (notice "CapEx..." is gone in the second screen cap).
How do I get this field to "stick"?

As per the details you provided, I believe your site is being affected by a bug:
Can you please check the description of the bug just to make sure if it's related?
If that's not the case, can you please let us know if this is happening on a next-gen or classic project?
If you add some value to the field, does the issue happen?
What type of field is the affected one (e.g. Dropdown, Checkbox)?

It appears to have been a combination of a permissions setting and one or two other issues with the way I set up the field, although the behavior in your bug issue is identical to what I was seeing. The problem seems to be fixed on our end. Thank you for following up.
