Custom drop down list SDLC Statuses

Is there a drop down list for statuses like 'coding, analysis, unit testing, etc....'

Not natively, but you can add one as a custom field.

It won't have any of the functions of the actual status though, or be a workflow.

Thanks Nic. I only want it to be attached to the JIRA for informational purposes.  I'll dig further into this site to identify how to add a custom field.
