Custom Issue fields

I created a plugin using Atlassian Connect Express, I have added 3 custom fields (single_select) and I would like to fill these fields with results from a call to a third party REST client. How can I do this?

In addition to this: The values in the three selects depend on each other, so when field 1 is filled, this values is required to load the values for field 2, when 2 is selected values for 3 must be loaded using this value.
