Custom Entity and form

Wondering if it's possible to create a custom entity (like Employees, product, etc.) and form associated with it. Then in other work items' screens/forms, like to add a custom field to refer this new entity.

Would like to know if it's possible via UI or API customizations. Appreciate any inputs.

Hi @Shan Chinna and welcome to the Community!

This sounds like you want to integrate a sort of asset system in your Jira instance. The most logical way to do so, would be by using Assets.

The caveat here is that assets is part of the Jira Service Management premium plan, so you would need a subscription to that plan for all users that need to manage the assets. If you have that, you will be able to select them through custom fields, even in your Jira Software projects though.

If that's not what you want, you might have a look at the Atlassian Marketplace for alternative Asset management apps or integrations.
