I am attempting to build a release across two projects (Product Development project + Support Ticket project). I'm happy to see that cross-project releases are now possible but I'm stuck as only one project is showing in the dropdown. Is there a way to associate two or more projects together so that I can create a cross-project release?
Hello @Mateo Eidson
Assuming the Support Ticket project is a JSM project, I would start by checking the configuration of the Support Ticket project to see if releases are enabled for that project but you should note the caveats in this comment here . This was from 2023 and I haven't tried this myself recently (mostly because I don't do release management off of service projects- see later comment in this response) so it might be worth double checking if this is up to date but I suspect this might be generally pointing to the issue you are facing.
However, without knowing the context of the problem you are actually trying to solve, it looks like you are trying to maybe track what JSM support tickets will be addressed due to fixes in a given release by tying those support tickets to the release as well. If that is the case, perhaps try this approach: link the JSM support tickets to the project tickets and rely on automation to trigger some action closing the loop on the support ticket once the linked project tickets have been released. This answer was pretty high level but it gives you a starting point to think about that approach, I would be happy to elaborate more if you need help on this path. This may not give you the nice "Plan view" you were looking for in Advanced Roadmaps but it will close the loop on the support side and you can report on support tickets that were addressed that tied to the release.
Hello @Mateo Eidson
Can you please confirm if the Releases are enabled for both the projects under the project settings?
Also, are both projects company managed software?
