Creating issues without due date

Hi guys, I am struggling with creating issues without the due date. First I added it as a required field but even if I select a date and click save I get an error which says to select a date. Now I removed due date as a field but I still getting that error even if its not there anymore. Did any of you have had this problem and know how to solve it?

Are you working with a Company Managed project or a Team Managed project?

Can you provide a screen image that shows you filling in the field and getting the error message?

When you say you "removed" the field, exactly how did you remove it?
