Hello,
We currently have a product board set up that consists of only Epics to track all ongoing products per quarter. I used to be able to create a story from that epic but have the ability to change which board it was a part of.
So I used to open an epic and then would select "Create issue in epic" and then have the "Create issue" box appear that would allow me to change the ticket type to a story and the option to select any of the available projects on the whole account that i want the actual story to be in - then when i would create it, it would then already be linked and under the epic i started on.
Now, i am still able to "Create issue in epic" but it just creates a story under that epic without any additional settings - just giving me the ability to title it and thats it.
Was this some new update? Or did i just change some setting that i need to revert back? Please help - i know you can do all of this from the "create issue button" and then just link the epic to it, but when you have 50 + user stories to create under a single epic it saves enough time for me to be writing this.
Hi Izabell - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Are you using the New Jira Issue View or the Old Jira Issue View? I can still see and change the project in the Old Jira Issue View. But not in the New View.
I was convinced that the old issue view wasn't working either and that I could only create subtasks... I was in fact very wrong and I was able to make it work. Thank you for reviewing this!
